I think every time I watch it, I catch more references to other great artists of the periods. Sure it can be a crude movie but I think it gets better with every viewing especially when you have more to base the movie on because it can drag on and get boring if you have no idea (especially Cox's David Bowie/Starman era). Although I think my favorite part is when Cox goes to India with the Beatles and their quipping.

Walk Hard
After watching all these biopics, especially the recent Walk the Line, I had an urge to watch Walk Hard, a biopic of a fictional Dewey Cox whose course through music borrows from pretty much any famous American musician from 1950s to 2000s and subsequently borrows filming techniques from their respective biopics. For instance, Dewey Cox has a Bob Dylan "phase" which makes fun of Dylan's sometimes sounding nonsensical story telling structure songs (Subterranean Homesick Blues) and it is filmed in black and white like Dyan's biopic "I'm Not There".
