So as i'm studying for a test i have tomorrow i decided to do a little bit of procrastinating from that work and do this blog here. Did anyone actually go see Justin Townes Earle? I wanted to go SO BADLY but the real parts of life (my job) kept me from enjoying this beautiful music that this man makes. I also saw the post about him (written by Brian) and i totally agree with him in that JTE totally holds down the traditional country style. Not only does he hold it down but he does an AMAZING JOB doing so. I've seen him live a few times (once with Lucero, once with Felice Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show [whom both also hold down the nice traditional folk/country style]) and i just can't say that its boring, ever. Even when it is just him on stage the energy he brings through that six string is amazing! I am very sad i could not attend his show, like really sad. :(

  1. I went. It was great. The first time I saw him, he played solo, but last night he had a fiddler and an upright bass player with him.

There were also a lot more people there than the first time I saw him. It's nice to see that people are starting to recognize how good he is.
