so Elvis might be the most popular Rock and Roll icon, but he's not the king. He wasn't creative. At all. He wasnt even a very good musician. He could sing very well, and he was very pretty. And he had some moves. And ladies swooned. Musicians like
Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, and Little Richard are much more well-deserved candidates for the title of the king of rock and roll. They influenced most rock musicians to follow in some fashion or other. How many guitarists were influenced by Chuck Berry's guitar-playing? Countless. How many were influenced by the guitar-playing of Elvis. Not so many. He may have influenced dudes' hairstyles, but not playing wise. He was a good singer, not a good musician. Hardly the undisputed king. Ask any rock icon who had the greater influence, who they prefer, and any good musician will say chuck berry.

You would be amazed at all of the musicians who have claimed that it was Chuck Berry who created/started rock 'n' roll.....
