Does fame change everything?

We have seen several movies like "Cadillac Records," and "Walk the Line." Both consists of novelty singers slowly making their way to fame and fortune. These two movies carried similar personality changes in stars like Muddy Waters, Little Walter, and Johnny Cash started out with nothing, and as they make their debut performances, their popularity starts to rise. When that happens, they start to lose control of their own lives. It seems that the more fame these artists reach, the more booze, women, and money it takes to run their lives. The faithful and once innocent becomes the sleazy, and unfaithful. These men have wives and in the end they go out with different women each night. It's sad to see how the careers of these stars always seems to interfere with their personal life, destroying who they once were and completely ignoring and breaking the limits to become these new successful fame-grubbing artists. So in the end, what is there more of? the positive or negative side to fame? Apparetly it's one or the other, either sacrificing your family to become famous, or forgetting your dream and live with what you had.
