Advent of Rock 'n' Roll

Rock 'n' Roll is a part of American Musical history most people have heard of. It is the foundation for much of the music today. But what i think the most interesting part of Rock 'n' Roll is how long its lasted. The original songs that came out in the early stages of the advent of rock and roll, at least the most popular ones, most people have heard them before. Since rock and roll was meant to target the baby boomers, it has remained a part of our culture since. I think most people have heard these songs because they are still played on the radio, still targeting the baby boomers. Being a marketing major, i see the idea of rock and roll targeting the baby boomers in the late 50's worked out alright.
