MJ - King of Pop
As we all talked about in class today, I do feel that MJ deserves to have the label "King of Pop". Despite all the allegations of molesting little boys, I do know MJ did alot of charity work and helped many many people. As for his music, although it may not be my favorite, I think it does relate to almost anyone. MJ had a way of using his songs to connect with people. I work with children in foster care, who are on probation etc. I have a child who I'm working with who is seven years old and severely mentally challenged. He was born and started his school in special education immediately. This adorable little boy is OBSSESSED with Michael Jackson. He knows every song, and lyric and can sing all the words, yet his speech is very hard to understand, nearly impossible to understand when he is talking. I have bought some Michael Jackson books for him and his family, who is also pretty obsessed with MJ. I swear everytime I see this family, they have something to say about MJ. The young boy watches his videos over and over and has practically memorized many of Michael's dance steps. MJ was an amazing singer, but also an amazing dancer. He broke so many records, which I highly doubt will ever be broke again...so despite whether you like MJ or not, I think he deserves the utmost respect when it comes to his music and his performances on stage, and his charity work behind the media scenes...
