Ever since I learned about the 4 sections that help to construct a song, now every song I listen to, I pay attention to the order, main melody, chorus, bridge, and it's just interesting that most songs really do seem to follow that sequence. I've always wondered how much effort it took artists to produce and write their own songs. Coming up with new melody, new chords are hard and that's why the value of sheet music went up immensely.

Tin Pan Alley Post
I actually have never heard of Tin Pan Alley until this class. Now that I've learned what it is, it's amazing to know the importance of song pluggers, the value of sheet music from the past to the present. This whole music industry has evolved so significantly and continues to expand at a rapid pace. It was insightful to know that during the Great Depression, Post Civil War, there were a variety of music ranging from Italian Opera, European ballads, to African American musicals, and escape songs to keep people's minds off the negatives and financial turmoils.
