music videos

Music videos were a great source of entertainment and publicity in the past. They still have the same purpose today but I feel many artists have lost their individuality with todays videos. Many videos have the same themes and ideas and really are not creative. Occasionally there are good videos that are unique but many artists come out with videos that have popular themes and it seems as if every music video is over marketed. How many hip hop and rap videos are there that deals with money, cars, and women. Other genres do the same thing with themes that pertain to their genre. Many times this strategy works because they go along with what is popular, but I believe artists that try to be more unique with their themes and messages will be the biggest successors.
