titles and names

I think that titles can be a very important marketing strategy. Many times your hear titles that describe how great of a musician they are such as king of pop, king of rock, ect. These titles work sometimes, when credit is due, but band names and artist names serve the same purpose. If your trying to reach a certain audience your title or name means a lot. It tells your audience what opinions you have, your outlook on things, your message and appearance. Names that are given afterwards definitely help artists to maintain their status but their original names, if applicable, should be thought about with much consideration also.
