...Taylor Swift?

Over the last year, Taylor Swift has dominated every award show. Last week at the Grammys, Taylor took home four Grammys including Album of the Year for “Fearless.”

It seems Taylor Swift did not become a recognized musical talent until the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when Kanye West stole the microphone from her during her acceptance speech. Since then she’s been everywhere from commercials to co-starring in movies. Taylor is the new young girl poster girl.

But what’s all the hype about?

In today’s music industry an artist image is just as important as the quality of their music. For example, Chris Brown career has become as pathetic as the Buffalo Bills offense since his fight with Rihanna. But back to Taylor. Taylor’s rise to fame has to do with more than just her music. Taylor image is pure and innocent. She does not go by the idea that sex sells. Also her humbleness and genuine excitement of her jobs is a breath of fresh air in an industry that is full of Kanye West like egos.

I’m not a Taylor Swift fan nor do I like her music but I glad that she in the industry because of her great character. I guess I kind of understand what all this Taylor Swift fuss is about, maybe not.
