Just minutes ago we concluded our lively discussion on hip hop, and I must admit-I left feeling unsatisfied. I am disgruntled with the fact that we didn't have more time to discuss hip hop and the controversies surrounding it, as well as its positive aspects (which I believe are many). It was so great seeing so many of you contribute to the discussion. I encourage you to blog about it for this week-answer any of the questions, comment on anything said or not said. If you're having a hard time coming up with a blog post-hip hop is a good place to start.
On a side note..yesterday was my birthday (and yes, I feel older) and in lieu of it I am having a '90s theme party at my house. We are all getting decked out in '90s gear (you wouldn't believe the awesome coolats I scored from Goodwill), eating '90s trend foods (pizza bagels, toaster strudels, totino's pizza rolls), and of course-rockin' out to '90s music! If anyone has a great song idea they'd like to suggest, I would greatly appreciate it. I hope you all have a great weekend, see you on Monday. I'm looking forward to your abstracts!
