MP3 vs CD

Mp3 was found in 1991, it became popular during mid 90s, people started to download any songs they wanted through software programs easily. Now it is an essential way to listen music, because our ipods only accept mp3. There is one page in wikipedia, telling us the list of best selling albums worldwide, ofcourse the first place is "Thriller" with 110 milion copies. Second is "Back in Black" by AC/DC with 49 million copies. The expected result I figured in this page, is that there is ony one album from 90's in top ten list back street boys' millenium which was released in 1999. The latest album in the list "Confession"(2004) by Usher, takes place at the end of the list by 20million copies. Although CD was a great revolution, when there were tape cassettes, there was no distortion of album records. Now the important question in here, does mp3 really help us, when it is a big obsticle against the artists. It is hard to answer this question, but I know for sure that, artists especially in popular culture, start focus on other projects, and sectors to earn their money. In a sudden, they all start acting in movies, being in any type of commercials do not concern them anymore, if they are going to have any bad reactions from fans. I think there are countless examples. On the other hand, we have the advantages of mp3 in our daily life all the time. It is difficult to guess what will happen in the future, since the technology upgrades itself rapidly, maybe there will be online selling albums as mp3s and that will be official, but that is just an idea.
