When I was young I didn't listen any hip-hop music, the first song I listened that was Eminem's "Without me". When I listened this song, I didn't know that hip-hop derived from African American culture, because Eminem is white. And I even didn't think that far.
However, I don't think it's wrong for white people make hip-hop music. I think almost of genres derive from African American culture, if it's wrong for white people make hip-hop music, white people can't make any music except classic. Or if someone thinks like that, African American can't play almost of sports, because almost sports derive from white society. So I think it doesn't matter that white people make hip-hop music, if they can make good songs.
