Walk the Line
I grew up pretty much always listening to Johnny Cash as my dad has always been a huge fan of his music. I thought the movie, Walk the Line, did a great job portraying Johnny Cash and how he started out. I actually didn't know that Johnny Cash had a brother who unfortunately died at a young age because of his accident until I had watched the movie in 2005 and that his death had such a huge impact on Johnny Cash through out his whole life. It was also sad to watch, in the movie, how badly he became addicted to drugs and how it effected his life. It just always seems like music and drugs go hand in hand. The reason I say that is because we've seen so many famous musicians in the past and musicians in the present who have trouble with drugs and alcohol and the outlook, most of time, is never good. Anyways, back to Walk the Line. I thought this was a great movie, one of my favorites, because it did such a good job at capturing Johnny Cash's life in my opinion, and I thought Joaquin Phoenix did a pretty good job playing the man in black!
