Dylan selling out
In response to the question about Dylan selling out, I don't think it is fair to accuse artists of selling out. Many bands or artists change over time. A lot of them loose interest in what they started with or become interested in something else. Many times when artists don't change, they don't gain fans and loose popularity. Also continuing to write the same style of music, it becomes hard to write original sounding songs and everything starts to sound like their old stuff. Many bands owe their success to changing. Metallica was a very heavy band in the beginning of their career, they were popular but not a worldwide act. Once they produced the black album which was more mainstream sounding, they topped on the charts. Many of their old fans accused them of selling out, but in loosing some fans they gained millions.
