Tin Pan Alley
I was surprised to see how many musicians had their origins from tin pan alley. I have heard of the term before but never really knew so many musicians arose from it. I guess it was the birth of American recording and music production on a large scale. There was obviously sheet music being sold before tin pan alley, but with the vaudeville circuit, song pluggers, and inventions such as the radio, music could definitely be marketed on a much larger scale. This definitely increased opportunity for musicians and helped create a larger industry in music.
