Ray

I found that the movie Ray was very informational and a great movie. I had heard of Ray Charles and knew that he was blind, but this movie gave a great perspective on his life. Jamie Fox in my opinion was excellent and played the role perfectly. After watching the movie it was amazing to me how Ray overcame many obstacles being a blind musician.

From Traveling all over the country and going on tours playing the piano and singing is quite an accomplishment. A part in the movie that i found really interesting was when he was eating with a woman and he was explaining that even though he couldn't see it made his other senses like hearing 10x's better. He was able to hear the humming bird outside the window and that i found really interesting. It was sad to see that throughout his life he was cheated out of many things and people took advantage of him because he was blind. From the scenes we saw during class i saw how disability affects a person and the hardships people have to endure as Ray did. Now that i know more about Ray Charles see him as a great musician and admiration towards him.
