So a little bit about country music. i personally really like country and folk music (but not mainstream country music - i like REAL country). I really liked the comments made in class about how mainstream country music isn't really country it's more poppy southern rock. Which it totally true. I HATE mainstream country music i think it is all the same, literally every song is about the same exact thing. has the same exact structure, every singer sounds the same. It just really GRINDS MY GEARS man!! But what was said about REAL country music is true, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, they are real country not this mainstream crap. i think old country artists would very disappointed at where country is today.
a short story - I was in the library and i over heard (which wasn't hard cause he was talking SO LOUD) a man talking about country music and he said, and i quote "it takes no talent to play country music, like the Bills are to football as country is to music in general, the bills are there but there is no talent, just like country"- i just thought it was pretty funny.
