Some posted earlier that crooning is a dying art style, which, while I do agree that it's moving away from that style, it is definitely not a dying art. One MAJOR example of the continuing popularity of the crooning style is Michael Bublé.
Michael Buble is a very popular musician who uses the crooning style in his singing. Bublé is no t the only singer to use this style, but he is probably the best known musician using the style currently. Bublé is not normally classified as a jazz singer but instead usually called a pop singer. I personally don't think this applies, because Bublé sings a lot of jazz standards from the era of tin pan alley. Jazz is no longer the most popular style of music as it was in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, but it still has a strong following today. It's important to note this because his popularity is keeping this singing style alive. Unfortunately, the most popular music comes from artists who lack creativity with auto-tuned synthetic songs and the talented artists of a different time are largely forgotten.
