John Mayer

In the interview with John Mayer he uses the N word and is now being called a racist. I have heard the interview and i find it completely stupid. Then he goes on to tell what it means to be black. The media of coarse is blowing up the whole story and even though it was stupid and ignorant for him to say all the things he did I'm sick of hearing it.

He then went on to talk about different females and insult's them in different ways. I have heard that he might have been intoxicated and i really hope he was. I think he didn't intentionally come off to be racist, but what he was said was pretty bad. He is a famous musician and has done many interviews and needs to understand that he cant say the stuff that he did in public/media. He is entitled to his own thoughts but needs to keep them to himself. I feel like when a white person makes any kind of remark that could be racist the media grabs a hold of it and runs with it. On the other hand i feel like African Americans get away with a lot of racist comments too. I cant even begin to explain how many times i've heard the term cracker or honkey being said by another race and even though it doesn't bother me, it still could be considered as a racial slur. Ill admit there have been times when i am listening to a rap song and in the lyrics will be the N word and i do say it when i sing because i am singing what they are. I think since i don't mean it in a bad way there shouldn't be a problem, but i wouldn't sing that in public place because i don't want to offend people.
