Disability

Disability is definitely a subject of concern for the musicians of today. We live in a world that is changing and people are becoming more understanding and accepting when it comes to many subjects. However, in popular music, musicians and consumers are concerned with many things that don't have to do with music at all. People are concerned with appearance, attitudes, popularity and other things. In popular music today, it seems unlikely that a disabled person could be as successful as many others. Its a terrible thing to think about because I personally believe that as a musician, the only thing that should matter is your music, or performance. Our country is so concerned with looks and other things, that i think it adds to ignorance and intolerance when it comes to the disabled.
