Hip Hop Explosion

Raising Hell was an album by Run DMC that changed popular music forever. Although their collaboration with aerosmith (walk this way) was a huge hit and is what the album is most remembered for, this album made a statement .Many people at this time still were of the idea that rap was just a fad and would not last. I think it cemented hip hops place as a legitimate genre of music that has stood the test of time.
