Hip-Hop and strerotypes

I think I also have stereotype about hip-hop. I think hip-hop music involve with drug, crime, and sexuality. mostly songs I listened, those songs were related to drug, crime, and sexuality. When I heard first time, I didn't know the song was related to that kind of things, because the lyric were included slang. I think lyric of hip-hop music is made from the hip-hop musicians, based on their own experience. And many hip-hop musicians are from urban area, like ghetto place. As a result, hip-hop musicians(so far I know) involved with crime, and they addicted to drug, and so on. i think these facts made stereotypes about hip-hop. But I don't think hip-hop affects rate of crime and violence.
